Best Bottomless Mesh System for Indian Homes
Why Trackless Pleated Mesh Wins
Mosquitoes and flies are a fact of life in most Indian homes, especially in Delhi NCR. The usual fix, a sliding net door, comes with a hidden annoyance: the track along the floor. It traps dust, trips children, and makes life harder for anyone who walks slowly or uses a wheelchair. A bottomless mesh system solves that problem, and Sunrise Screens Pvt. Ltd. offers a version worth a close look.
What Is a Bottomless (Trackless) Mesh System?
A Screen That Leaves the Floor Free
A bottomless mesh system is a retractable pleated screen that works without a rail at the bottom. You slide it open and closed horizontally, and the floor stays flat from one side of the doorway to the other. Sunrise Screens sells this under the name Barrier Free and also lists it as a trackless or no-threshold mesh.
How It Differs from Ordinary Mosquito Nets
Regular sliding nets sit in a groove that collects grit and slows the screen down over time. A trackless design removes the groove entirely, so there is less to clean and less to break.
Key Benefits of Going Trackless
Safer for Everyone
With no raised track, there is nothing to catch a foot. That helps toddlers, older family members, and wheelchair users, and it makes carrying shopping or laundry through the door easier.
Clear Views and Fresh Air
Pleated mesh lets air pass through while keeping insects out. You still get a clear view of your balcony or garden, so the screen doesn’t make the room feel closed in.
A Cleaner, Modern Look
The system folds neatly to the side when you don’t need it. It suits contemporary interiors, and the color options (white, black, brown, and grey, with custom shades available) help it blend in.
Low Maintenance
There is no floor channel to scrub. Wiping the mesh and the frame now and then is usually enough.
What Goes Into the Sunrise Screens Barrier-Free System?
Materials and Build
According to the company, the pleated mesh is imported technology from Taiwan, made from polyester or fiberglass. The frame is powder-coated aluminum, which is chosen to resist UV exposure and corrosion. Those details matter in a climate with strong sun and monsoon humidity.
Wide Opening Capability
The system can cover large openings such as balcony doors, villa entrances, and wide patio doors, which are the places where a floor track is most irritating.
Where It Is Used
Sunrise Screens says the system is used in:
- Apartments and villas
- Offices and commercial spaces
- Hospitals and healthcare buildings
- Hotels and hospitality projects
- Schools and public buildings
How to Choose the Right Bottomless Mesh System
Check the mesh material.
Polyester and fiberglass both work well for insect protection. Ask which one suits your opening, your budget, and how much sun the area gets.
Look at the frame finish.
A powder-coated aluminum frame resists rust and fading. Inspect the corners and sliding parts before you commit.
Insist on Accurate Measurements
A good fit keeps gaps small, which matters most when there is no bottom track to hold the screen in place. Choose a supplier that visits your site to measure.
Think About Your Household
If you have children, elderly relatives, or someone who uses a mobility aid, the trackless design is more than a style choice. It makes daily movement safer.
